Gripsholm
Gripsholm castle, Mariefred in Sweden. This place was first fortified in late 14 century, by a man who the castle is named after (Grip). The fort was confiscated by the Swedish king Gustav Vasa in the middle of 16th century. The oldest remanings on the castle you see here, are from around 1520s. The castle is located in the municpally of Strangnas about 60 km west of Stockholm and is still today one of the castles in Sweden that the Swedish Royal family takes care of. The castle is also holding the states National Collection of Portraits
